Shona Rajput is a prominent actress, anchor, host, and model. Shona’s modelling career began at the age of 17, when she won the title of “Best Female Model” for an intercollegiate fashion show in Mumbai. After that, there was no turning back for her. She went on to make waves in the Miss India pageant in 2004 and the Limca Fresh Face of the Year show in 2005. She has also walked the runwayfor several world-renowned designers and fashion houses.
Not long after her modeling debut, a fashion photographer took notice of Shona’s spontaneity and comfort in the spotlight, and personally invited her to host one of his shows. Shona’s vibrant, friendly, and charismatic on-stage presence made her one of the most popular anchors in the country. From high-profile corporate events and product launches, to weddings and live concerts, Shona has quite literally done it all.
Having solidified her reputation as a top emcee and host, Shona then conquered television and print as the face of Master card and Airtel, starring in on-air and print advertisements. She has appeared on the covers of various national publications, including DNA Mumbai Edition, LIFE (Times of India), and Health. She was also selected as the cover girl for the fashion house, ROOPAM’s nationwide ad campaign.
In 2004, Shona made her mark as an accomplished actress when she starred alongside Bollywood star PadminiKolhapure in the play Kaash. Shona also regularly hosted the program Yuva for DD News.
Despite finding success on the runway, theater stage, and on-screen, Shona’s heart still remains in live events, which aren’t always fully scripted and planned. But that’s where Shona thrives.
